Leaders Discuss Cooperation: Ukraine and Japan

The President expressed gratitude to Japan for its support of Ukrainians and unwavering assistance during the Russian invasion.
Both nations understand the grave threats posed by the war and the leaders discussed opportunities for enhancing security and development.
Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized both countries’ readiness to collaborate on implementing advanced technologies for protection, addressing the challenges presented by the war. He informed about Ukraine's intentions to regulate arms exports and build partnerships for joint production of modern defense equipment.
Additionally, he highlighted the need to strengthen air defense to protect cities and energy infrastructure, which is a primary target for Russia. Zelensky expressed high appreciation for Japan's willingness to provide assistance in the energy sector, which would benefit Ukrainian cities and communities this winter.
Ukraine is also keen to enhance collaboration with Japan for reconstruction and recovery.
