A pro-Palestine demonstration in Turin, Italy, has escalated into clashes with police. According to Corriere Torino, the event, which gathered several hundred participants, took place in the city center on October 25.
The demonstrators carried banners with slogans against "genocide ministers" and dartboards featuring the faces of Georgia Meloni, Matteo Salvini, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Donald Trump.
As the march progressed past the Egyptian Museum, clashes broke out with police when the demonstrators attempted to approach the Carignano Theatre, where a Forza Italia party congress was taking place.
At least one person was detained, and two police officers along with about ten protesters were injured. Nevertheless, the march continued through the city.
Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani, who was inside the theatre at the time, expressed full support for the police.
