The unrest occurred following a demonstration held in Maliveld park, with authorities confirming at least 30 arrests.

Mayor Jan van Zanen stated that while 30 arrests have been confirmed, the final count may increase. He also reported that two police officers sustained injuries.

He noted that groups of agitators from various parts of the country intentionally clashed with police in The Hague, exhibiting extreme violence.

The demonstration against immigration policies escalated into violent confrontations with law enforcement.
