In Poland, specifically in the Lublin Voivodeship, military police have initiated an operation following reports of possible rocket debris that may have downed a drone during a recent attack by Russia.

This was reported by RMF24.

According to the publication, work is being carried out in the town of Hojny, where remnants of a rocket, presumably used to down a drone, may be located. The military police intend to conduct a thorough examination of the site on Friday morning.

The investigation is being conducted by the Military Police Investigative Department in Lublin in collaboration with the Forensic Laboratory and under the supervision of the Military District Prosecutor's Office.

As reported, a local resident living less than 30 km from Lublin contacted the police after discovering a suspicious object in the field. Officers promptly arrived at the scene and called in the military.

It should be noted that on the night of September 9 to 10, during a massive attack by Russia on Ukraine, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones. These drones were intercepted by Polish and allied aircraft. During operations in Lublin Voivodeship, a private house was damaged. According to Polish media, it may have been struck by a rocket fired from an F-16 fighter jet targeting a drone. Other drones that were not shot down likely fell due to running out of fuel. Wreckage from 16 unmanned aerial vehicles was found in border areas with Ukraine. As reported by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, a total of 19 drones were recorded. Interceptors were deployed, but only four targets were successfully destroyed.
