On August 22, the American company SpaceX successfully launched the X-37B spacecraft for the U.S. Space Forces.

This was reported by Space.com.

The Falcon 9 rocket, carrying the X-37B, lifted off from a launch site in Florida at 06:50 Kyiv time. The first stage of the rocket returned to Earth as planned, landing at Cape Canaveral 8.5 minutes later. Meanwhile, the upper stage continued to carry the X-37B to a low Earth orbit, where it will conduct various tasks, some of which remain classified. It's currently unclear when and where the X-37B will be deployed. SpaceX concluded the live broadcast of the launch immediately after the first stage landed at the request of the U.S. Space Forces. The X-37B measures 8.8 meters and resembles a miniature version of NASA's retired space shuttles. It is understood that the Space Forces operate two unmanned X-37B vehicles, both manufactured by Boeing. The X-37B is primarily used for testing sensors and other technologies that the military aims to evaluate in low Earth orbit. SpaceX has also indicated that the 10th test flight of the Super Heavy Starship rocket may occur on August 24.
