Following a pipeline accident in Gdansk, Poland, rescue teams announced the evacuation of approximately 200 individuals.
This was reported by foreman Jacek Jakubczyk from the Gdansk City Fire Department, according to "European Truth".
Jakubczyk stated that the damage to the pipeline was detected at the Westerplatte port terminal. The notification came shortly after noon from the Gdansk port fire brigade.
Six fire crews and gas emergency management arrived at the scene. Rescuers decided to evacuate around 200 individuals from the terminal area and nearby establishments, including food outlets.
Traffic in the port channel was not completely halted, although due to the incident, the dock was taken out of service, added the Gdansk fire department representative.
