Residents in areas where the sirens were activated were instructed to remain in shelters until further notice.
Preliminary reports indicate that Iran launched at least one ballistic missile towards Israel. The attack took place following the scheduled commencement of a ceasefire between the countries.
It is likely that the ballistic missile was intercepted. There are currently no reports of damage or casualties resulting from the attack.
Subsequently, it was reported that Iran had fired two ballistic missiles at Israel, both of which were successfully intercepted.
In response to Iran's violation of the ceasefire, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to “take decisive action with intense strikes against regime targets in central Tehran.”
