The Republic of Korea is allocating $4.76 million to support the digital transformation of the Ukrainian government. The agreement was signed on April 14 in Kyiv between representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The funds will be used for a three-year project lasting until 2027. The goal is to increase the efficiency, transparency, and convenience of government operations. This initiative will be implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, UNDP, and the Cabinet Secretariat.

“The Ministry of Digital Transformation aims to simplify interactions with the government for both citizens and service providers. We are grateful to the Republic of Korea for supporting this vital initiative that will enhance the effectiveness of the public sector,” emphasized Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology, Minister of Digital Transformation.

The project includes two main directions:

  • Modernization of digital tools for project management in ministries and the creation of electronic services for civil servants.
  • Training of civil servants in digital skills to effectively use new systems.

One of the components of the project will be the introduction of a special service in Diia for civil servants — Diia.Office, which will help simplify administrative processes and improve interaction between institutions.
