As of the morning of February 11, several regions in Ukraine are experiencing power outages due to Russian attacks. This was reported by the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" on their Facebook page.
"Due to military actions and targeted assaults on the energy infrastructure, there are new power outages in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions. Emergency recovery teams are working under safety requirements. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore the damaged equipment as quickly as possible," the statement reads.
It is noted that due to the consequences of previous massive attacks, emergency power outages are being implemented in some regions. In the rest of the country, power capacity restrictions are in place for industrial users, along with scheduled outages for residential consumers.
As of 9:30 AM on Wednesday, electricity consumption is 2.1% lower than the previous day's level, a result of the enforced increase in power outages in certain areas.
"The need for energy conservation remains throughout the day. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, shift energy-intensive processes to nighttime hours – after 11 PM," advises Ukrenergo.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the most difficult situation with energy supply remains in Kyiv, where over 1400 buildings are still without heating. The government is initiating an increase in the thermal package program volumes.
