The air defense forces of Ukraine successfully neutralized 84 out of 97 drones launched by Russian forces during the night of January 20-21. The Ukrainian Air Forces reported this via Telegram.
At 6 PM on January 20, the enemy launched one "Iskander-M" ballistic missile from occupied Crimea and also deployed 97 strike drones, including "Shahed," "Gerbera," and other types, from locations such as Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), Chauda (Crimea), and temporarily occupied Donetsk, with about 70 of them being "Shaheds".
The Ukrainian defense forces countered the attack using aviation, anti-aircraft units, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups.
As of 8:30 AM on January 21, preliminary reports indicate that air defense shot down 84 drones in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
There were recorded impacts of a ballistic missile and 13 strike drones across 11 locations, with debris falling in one area.
The attack continues, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
On the night of January 21, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih.
