On the night of January 12, Russia launched an assault on Ukraine using 156 strike drones, including Shahed, “Herbera,” and other types. As a result of air defense efforts, 135 Russian targets were neutralized.
This information was provided by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“From 6 PM on January 11, the enemy attacked with 156 UAVs, including Shahed and Herbera, from directions such as Millerovo, Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda in Crimea. About 110 of them were ‘Shaheds,’” the report states.
As of 8 AM, aviation forces and air defense units, including electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups, had shot down or suppressed 135 Russian UAVs across various regions of the country.
It was also noted that the attack resulted in 16 strike drones hitting 11 locations, with debris from downed drones falling in two areas.
“The attack is ongoing, and there are several enemy UAVs in the airspace. Please follow safety protocols,” the Air Forces added.
