The air defense forces reported the neutralization of 108 out of 160 Russian drones. The Ukrainian Air Forces announced this via Telegram.
Starting from 18:30 on Thursday, December 18, the Russians launched an attack on Ukraine with 160 strike UAVs, including Shahed models, from various directions: Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Bryansk, Millerovo (RF), and Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), with around 90 being Shahed drones.
The airspace was defended by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units, and mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary reports, as of 08:00 on Friday, December 19, the air defense successfully shot down 108 enemy drones in southern and eastern Ukraine.
Hits from 47 strike UAVs were recorded at 23 locations.
The attack is ongoing, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace, as warned by the Air Forces.
As a result of the latest enemy attack in Odesa, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged, and residential buildings were also affected by the shockwave.
