During the night, Russian military forces targeted the energy infrastructure of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported on November 24.
«The most challenging situation is in Dnipropetrovsk, where over 60 thousand consumers are without electricity. In Kharkiv, around 10 thousand subscribers have also lost power due to the attack. Energy workers are tirelessly working to restore electricity supply as quickly as possible», the statement mentioned.
Additionally, according to the Ministry of Energy, due to adverse weather conditions, there are blackouts in 45 settlements in Lviv region, with restoration expected by the end of the day.
«Today, across all regions of Ukraine, from 00:00 to 23:59, hourly blackout schedules and power limitation schedules for industrial consumers and businesses are in effect. We urge consumers to use electricity wisely throughout the day, especially during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening. This helps reduce the load on the system», emphasized the ministry.
Since the beginning of autumn, Russian military forces have intensified attacks on Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which provides gas to people during the heating season.
