On the night of October 28 to 29, the Deep Strike units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted effective strikes on three enemy oil and gas infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the press service of the Special Operations Forces and the General Staff.
The targets of the operation included:
- Mariinsk Oil Refinery, Tabashino village, Mari El Republic, Russia;
- Novospassk Oil Refinery, Novospasskoye village, Ulyanovsk region, Russia;
- Budyonovsk Gas Processing Plant, Budyonovsk city, Stavropol Krai, Russia.
Explosions and fires were recorded at the sites, confirmed by local residents.
The Mariinsk Oil Refinery is a critical infrastructure object for the Mari El Republic, producing 10 types of oil products with a processing capacity of 1.6 million tons of oil per year.
The Novospassk Oil Refinery manufactures essential oil products such as diesel fuel, gasoline, and fuel oil with a capacity of 600 thousand tons of oil per year.
The Budyonovsk Gas Processing Plant has a design capacity of 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas per year, supplying gas to the Budyonovsk CHPP and businesses in the region. The Special Operations Forces emphasize that they continue to conduct asymmetric actions to halt the enemy and accelerate its strategic fatigue.
