Since the onset of the full-scale conflict, Ukrainian children have suffered immensely due to the aggressor's actions. Attorney General Ruslan Kravchenko reported that 661 children have been killed and over 2200 injured.
On the 1342nd day of the war, prosecutors have initiated 5363 investigations into these crimes.
During this time, Russia has: killed 661 children; injured 2203 children; destroyed or damaged over 4500 schools, kindergartens, and 1294 hospitals; abducted and deported over 19,000 Ukrainian children; committed at least 23 cases of sexual violence against children, - stated Kravchenko.
He emphasized that these actions are part of a deliberate policy of terror aimed at eliminating Ukrainians as a nation.
The Attorney General also reminded that the UN Security Council Resolution No. 1261 outlines six of the most heinous crimes against children during wartime, and all six are being committed by Russia daily in Ukraine before the eyes of the world.
Kravchenko added that prosecutors in Ukraine, in collaboration with law enforcement and international partners, are investigating each crime.
"We will do everything to hold all war criminals accountable, from the perpetrators to the leadership of Russia. Time will not be an obstacle. These crimes have no statute of limitations," - he concluded.
