“Today, Kharkiv is in mourning. Five lives have been lost, including a one-and-a-half-year-old girl. Twenty people are injured, the youngest victim is just six years old. This is the result of a terrorist strike on a residential building. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of all the deceased,” the mayor posted on his social media.
In memory of those who died due to the enemy shelling that occurred on the morning of August 18, the State Flag of Ukraine has been lowered with a black ribbon on buildings and structures of local self-government, enterprises, institutions, and organizations. Additionally, entertainment music is banned today in markets, retail establishments, and restaurants.
