Defensive Triumph: Ukrainian Air Defense Dismantles Missile Threat

The Ukrainian air defense successfully neutralized two "Iskander-M/KN-23" ballistic missiles and 32 drones launched by Russian forces on the night of August 12.

This information was shared by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Telegram channel.

Starting from 21:00 on August 12, the enemy launched an attack with 49 strike drones of the Shahed type and various other unmanned aerial vehicles from directions including Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo, as well as two "Iskander-M/KN-23" missiles from the Kursk region.

The strike drones targeted the Donetsk, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions, while the missiles aimed at the Poltava region.

The Ukrainian defense forces, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups, successfully repelled the attack.

As of 08:00 on August 13, preliminary data indicates that air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 34 targets: two "Iskander-M/KN-23" missiles and 32 Shahed-type drones and imitators in northern and eastern Ukraine.

Seventeen hits by drones were recorded at 15 different locations.
