Tragedy in Zaporizhzhia Region: Casualties and Destruction

In the early hours of August 6, a shelling incident in the Zaporizhzhia region led to the deaths of two individuals, while twelve others, including children, sustained injuries.

This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, via Telegram.

Direct quote from the regional leader: "This morning, the Russians struck the Zaporizhzhia region. Two people have died, and ten have been injured, including four children".

At least nine buildings were damaged in the area. Emergency services are currently on site.

Fedorov later added that the number of injured has risen to twelve. "Five individuals were sent to the hospital in serious and moderate conditions," the head of the administration noted.

Update: Around 9 AM, the State Emergency Service clarified that the occupiers attacked a recreation base.

"On August 6, between 05:55 and 06:10, the enemy launched bomb strikes on the territory of a recreation base in one of the settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region," stated the Emergency Service.

Rescue workers transported the injured and handed them over to emergency medical teams. Other individuals were evacuated.

Currently, emergency responders are extinguishing fires in outdoor structures, vehicles, and five hotspots on open land.

Nine single-story cabins for recreation have been damaged.
