The Esman community in the Sumy region has come under artillery fire, resulting in injuries to a 66-year-old woman.
This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Grygorov, on his Telegram channel.
“This morning, Russian troops shelled a village in the Esman community located near the border with Russia. As a result of the shelling, a 66-year-old woman was injured,” he noted in the post.
According to reports, the woman sustained shrapnel wounds and has been hospitalized. Medical personnel are providing necessary assistance, and her condition is assessed as moderate.
Earlier, it was reported that on August 1st, there were 85 shellings recorded in the Sumy region affecting 41 populated areas across 17 communities. Damage was reported in the Sumy, Shalyhyn, Mykolaiv, and Nedryhailiv communities, including residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure.
