In Kyiv, emergency recovery operations are underway at sites affected by yesterday's attack. Meanwhile, all search and rescue operations have been concluded. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
«Currently, it is known that there are 31 casualties, including five children. The youngest child was only two years old. My condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. A total of 159 people were injured, 16 of whom are children,» said the President.
Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that such a vile attack by Russia demonstrates the need for increased pressure on Moscow and further sanctions.
«Regardless of the Kremlin's denials of their effectiveness, they are working and must be strengthened — we must hit everything that allows such attacks to continue. It is crucial that the world does not remain silent. I thank everyone who supports our people. We appreciate that President Trump, European leaders, and other partners clearly see what is happening and condemn Russia.»
In July alone, Russian forces used over 5,100 guided bombs, more than 3,800 «Shaheds,» and nearly 260 missiles of various types, including 128 ballistic missiles. Stopping this can only be achieved together: America, Europe, and other global actors. Every interaction matters. Every day is important. Thank you to everyone who helps Ukraine,» wrote Zelensky, expressing condolences to the families of the deceased and thanking the rescuers, police, doctors, nurses, and utility workers for their efforts.
The city is providing assistance to those who have lost property. A total of 1,045 applications have been submitted for a payment of 10,000 hryvnias (such payments have been made by Kyiv since 2022). Thirty-seven individuals whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged have applied for a one-time payment of 40,000 hryvnias, which the city provides for housing rental for two months. They will continue to receive 20,000 hryvnias per month to rent accommodation while the city restores their homes.
