On the night of July 25 to 26, an explosion occurred at the "Armavir" airfield in the Krasnodar region, leading to the destruction of a Su-27UB training-fighter jet belonging to the Russian Aerospace Forces.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Local residents noted that communication was lost in surrounding villages following the explosion and fire.

The "Armavir" airfield is primarily used for training cadets of the Krasnodar Higher Aviation School.
