A large-scale attack has taken place on one of Ukraine's power plants that supplies heat to the population.

This has been reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

"The attacked station is unrelated to military facilities," the statement said.

Energy specialists are working to mitigate the effects of the attack. However, detailed information on the extent of the damage has not been disclosed.

"Such targeted attacks are further evidence of the aggressor's terroristic actions. This is yet another attempt to intimidate Ukrainians and deprive us of light and warmth," the Ministry of Energy added.
