This morning, Russian military forces launched an attack on residential districts in Kherson. A shell struck an apartment on the fifth floor, but fortunately, no one was injured.

This information was shared by Yaroslav Shanko, the head of the Kherson Military Administration, on his Facebook page, along with a video.

«Around 10:00 AM, Russian terrorists targeted residential areas in central Kherson. A shell hit an apartment on the fifth floor. Thankfully, no one was harmed,» wrote the head of the administration.

In the video, older residents of Kherson describe the terrifying noise and mention hearing two «strikes».

According to the head of the administration, social workers from the Kherson Military Administration have already visited the site of the morning shelling, spoke with the residents, and provided necessary consultations. Immediate measures are being planned to address the aftermath — broken windows in accessible apartments will be covered by workers from the communal enterprise «Parks of Kherson».

Later, the regional administration clarified that around 10:00 AM, Russian troops shelled Kherson with artillery. As a result of the attack, a 33-year-old man sustained blast injuries.

"The injured party sought medical attention themselves. They are currently receiving the necessary medical assistance," the statement read.
