On the evening of July 17, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 35 strike drones of the Shahed type and various other UAVs, with 11 being neutralized and 18 hitting targets in five locations.

This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.

According to the Air Forces: "As of 8:30 AM, our air defense has shot down 11 enemy Shahed drones (as well as other types) in the northern and eastern parts of the country. Additionally, 6 imitation drones were locally lost or suppressed by electronic warfare. We recorded 18 hits from drones in 5 locations and debris falling in 2 areas."

Details: The invaders launched drones from the direction of Russian cities Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, targeting frontline areas in the east of the country.

The air assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
