Chernivtsi has designated July 13 as a day of mourning for the victims of the Russian attack.
This was announced by the mayor of Chernivtsi, Roman Klychuk, via Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
A meeting of the emergency response headquarters took place in the city.️
“July 13 has been declared a day of mourning in Chernivtsi for the victims. All public events are canceled,” the message states.
A special commission has been created to assess the damages and evaluate losses. Affected residents have been offered temporary relocation to a dormitory. Additionally, food, water, hygiene supplies, and medical and psychological assistance will be provided. All relevant city services are operating.
The Russians attacked Bukovina with four Shahed drones and one missile. As a result of debris falling in Chernivtsi, a 26-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man lost their lives.
