In the final phase of the repatriation process under the agreements made in Istanbul, Ukraine has received an additional 1245 bodies. According to the Russian side, these bodies belong to Ukrainian citizens, including servicemen.

This brings the total number of bodies returned to Ukraine under the Istanbul agreements to 6057.

Law enforcement officials, together with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will conduct all necessary examinations for the identification of the repatriated bodies.

The repatriation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Coordination Headquarters, the Joint Center, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and other security entities in Ukraine.

We express our gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their support.

A special thank you goes to the personnel of the Central Command of the Armed Forces and the Joint Center, who are responsible for transporting repatriated bodies to designated state facilities and organizing the handover of deceased individuals to law enforcement representatives.
