Military Assaults on Kyiv: Latest Updates

In the night of Tuesday, June 10, Russian forces launched a significant air assault on the capital of Ukraine.

Reports of strikes on Kyiv came from the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Tkachенко, and the mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko.

As a result of the falling debris from enemy targets, considerable damage was recorded in several areas of the city. As of 05:58, according to the mayor, the number of casualties had risen to four, all of whom were hospitalized.

At 05:12, Tkachенко reported that seven areas of the capital were damaged. There were partial destructions and fires in residential buildings and private homes, as well as burning vehicles and warehouses.

At 04:17, a fire broke out in a high-rise building in the Solomianskyi district. In the Podilskyi district, drone debris fell in two locations, Klitschko reported.

At 04:02, Klitschko mentioned a fire in a business center in the Shevchenkivskyi district and warned that in addition to drones, missiles were headed for Kyiv.

At 03:48, the mayor informed that a person was hospitalized in the Obolonskyi district, while earlier, assistance was provided on-site to another victim in the Darnytskyi district.

Approximately at 03:25, the Kyiv City Military Administration provided operational information about the consequences in various areas:

  • Darniytskyi district: fire in a non-residential building; destruction of a residential building (preliminarily without fire); falling debris from a downed drone in a green zone; partial destruction in a non-residential area; damage in a garage cooperative.
  • Obolonskyi district: damage to two floors of a residential building; fire in an office building.
  • Holosiivskyi district: falling drone debris on the territory of a non-residential building.
  • Desnianskyi district: a car caught fire due to falling parts of a downed drone.
  • Shevchenkivskyi district: fire in a residential building; damage to a building at another address.
  • Podilskyi district: damage to non-residential premises.

Currently, efforts to mitigate the consequences of the strike are ongoing in the capital. Rescuers and city officials are working at the sites.
