Germany to Continue Military Support for Ukraine

The German government has confirmed it will maintain military assistance to Ukraine, even if the U.S. decides to withdraw its support.

According to "European Truth," this was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, as reported by Tagesschau.

The head of the German defense ministry emphasized that further military assistance to Ukraine is clearly outlined in the coalition agreement.

"If Ukraine falls, and Putin wins this war by occupying Ukraine or significant parts of it, it will pose the greatest threat to NATO territory, and also to neighboring countries like Moldova and Georgia," said Pistorius.

He added that "this is not just about solidarity with Ukraine; it’s about our security and peace in Europe."

Furthermore, Pistorius compared the U.S. proposal for territorial concessions by Ukraine for peace negotiations to capitulation.

Recently, he announced another package of military assistance for Ukraine, which will include four IRIS-T air defense systems.
