In 2025, families welcoming a newborn will have the opportunity to receive financial aid for purchasing baby products, including assistance through the "baby package" program.

This aid is a one-time payment for each live-born child, allowing parents to buy essential items for their infants, such as hygiene products, clothing, nutrition, toys, and other important necessities.

The compensation is provided to the parents of the newborn, and if they are unavailable, it goes to foster parents, guardians, and adopters in a cashless form via a special bank account at participating banks. A list of these banks can be found on the website of the State Service for Children of Ukraine.

The amount of financial aid will equal three minimum living standards for children under six years old at the time of birth. Starting from January 1, 2025, this amount will be 7689 UAH.

To apply for aid, one must submit an application to social services, via mail, or electronically during the birth registration through the "eMaljatko" platform.

Applications are accepted within a year from the child's birth.

Funds received can be utilized within a year for purchases at stores participating in the "baby package" monetization program. A list of these stores is available on the Ministry of Social Policy's website.

Additionally, parents can receive a natural assistance package containing over 50 items for newborns, including new useful products such as reusable diapers and a book with parenting advice.
