Merging Colleges in Kyiv: A New Development Phase

Today, December 5, the Kyiv City Council made a decision to merge the Kyiv College of Construction and Architecture with the Kyiv College of Construction and Municipal Services. This was announced by Valentin Mondryiisky, the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

According to him, the institutions are located on adjacent plots of land in the Svyatoshyn district, allowing for the creation of a unified educational space, including sports facilities and shared classrooms. The economic effectiveness of this decision will reduce the cost of training each student by increasing the total enrollment to 1,400.

“This is a logical step to combine two similar institutions. Such reform will help utilize the material-technical base effectively, create a single educational space, including a full sports complex, and enhance the institution's economic viability. It will also improve the quality of education by optimizing training directions according to the needs of the capital's labor market,” commented Valentin Mondryiisky.

The teaching staff of both institutions will be retained. The newly formed educational establishment will be named “Kyiv College of Construction Technologies and Services.”
