On November 12 at 13:20, the rescue service received a call from a resident of Kharkiv, born in 2000. He reported that he and a colleague, born in 1985, had gotten lost while climbing Mount Stepanyets due to sudden worsening weather and were unable to continue their journey on their own.
Specialists from the mountain search and rescue department of the village of Verkhovyna set out to find the tourists. After several hours of searching, rescuers located the travelers and safely escorted them to the nearest settlement.
