The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy have signed a memorandum on strategic partnership. This was reported by GUR, highlighting the efforts of GUR Chief Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov and NaUKMA President Serhiy Kvit.
The primary goal of this collaboration is to integrate military intelligence experience with the academic expertise of the university, in order to better analyze their common adversary.
The plan involves studying Russian society, state institutions, propaganda techniques, and ways of thinking. Intelligence specialists and faculty from NaUKMA’s international relations department will collaborate with the School of Political Analytics on this project.
“To defeat the enemy, one must understand how they think and act. We are ready to share our unique experiences with the NaUKMA community. Science and intelligence will work together to strengthen the country’s defense potential,” emphasized Kyrylo Budanov.
The cooperation entails joint research, educational initiatives, and knowledge exchange, which will prepare a new generation of experts who deeply understand the enemy and can effectively counter its influence.
“We have created a certificate program on ‘Russian Studies’ to examine Russia as a threat. An unknown enemy is the most dangerous. Therefore, studying them is part of our contribution to a common victory. Collaborating with GUR will make these studies systematic and maximally effective,” highlighted Serhiy Kvit.
Previously, GUR specialists showcased a schematic of the Russian drone ‘Orion’ and data on 43 enterprises involved in its production, of which a third are currently not under sanctions from any coalition countries.
