An assailant and his accomplice attacked an elderly woman in the entrance of a high-rise building in Troieshchyna. Currently, one of the perpetrators has been sentenced, while the investigation continues for his partner.
In April of this year, the police in Kyiv received a report from a resident of the Desnyansky district stating that she had been robbed by two unknown men in the entrance of a building on Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue. 
The police apprehended a 35-year-old man and a 28-year-old native of Cherkasy region, who were charged with robbery.
During the investigation, law enforcement officials discovered that the two criminals had spotted an 88-year-old woman in a store. They followed her home, and one of the attackers pushed her in the entrance, causing her to lose her balance and fall, while the convicted individual snatched her bag containing 10,000 hryvnias.
After gathering sufficient evidence, the police forwarded the indictment to court. 
Recently, the Desnyansky court sentenced the 28-year-old robber to seven years and six months in prison. 
The investigation regarding the other suspect is ongoing.
