Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys presented a symbolic map of Ukraine, signed by staff from the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha, as a gesture of solidarity for the country's territorial integrity.

This announcement was made by Budrys during a joint press conference in Kyiv.

“This gesture represents not only Lithuania's support but also that of my colleagues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We affirm our commitment to uphold your territorial integrity – every inch of your land,” he stated.

“603,628 square kilometers. This is Ukraine, which you are defending. This is our best friend,” Budrys added.

During their meeting, Sybiha and Budrys discussed further steps regarding security, defense, European integration, and sanctions against Russia.

«We covered a broad range of topics regarding our relationship, particularly focusing on security and defense. Today, we will also address security challenges in our region», - emphasized Sybiha at the press conference.

He noted that another crucial topic was the path to achieving a just peace, especially in light of Russia's rejection of peaceful efforts.

«We share the view that peace through strength remains the only realistic approach. We agreed to work together to enhance sanctions against Russia… We must cut off funding for the aggression and reduce the aggressor's profits from energy sales», - the minister stressed.

Sybiha also indicated plans to discuss Ukraine's support on its path to EU and NATO membership with his Lithuanian counterpart. Additionally, the interlocutors coordinated further cooperation within multilateral frameworks.

The Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to Lithuania for its support of Ukraine. He reminded that 2% of Lithuania's GDP is allocated to aid Ukraine.

«This is the third highest figure in the world, and it demonstrates true leadership in assistance. Lithuania's aid exceeds 1.7 billion euros, with nearly half – over 800 million euros – dedicated to defense support. Thank you for this… We also appreciate Lithuania's funding for the European plan to acquire Patriot systems and other American weapons, as well as its readiness to develop arms production both in Ukraine and Lithuania,” Sybiha concluded.

It is worth noting that Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys arrived in Ukraine for a visit on Friday, September 19.
