The Notary Chamber of Ukraine has requested an immediate halt to the testing of the e-notariat system due to identified information leaks, including data from the registers of powers of attorney and inheritance.

This was reported on the official website of the Notary Chamber of Ukraine.

«We have sent a request to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov and Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko to ensure the protection of notarial secrecy and to stop the testing of the e-notariat system», the statement reads.

It is noted that during the work with the training version of the e-notariat system, real data from the Unified Register of Powers of Attorney and the Inheritance Register became accessible, including information about wills.

«In the opinion of the NPU, this constitutes a serious violation of the legislation regarding notarial secrecy and citizens' rights. The NPU expresses its willingness to participate in the development of all proposals to resolve issues related to the training version of the e-notariat testing», the Notary Chamber emphasized.

The start of testing the digital platform e-notariat was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov on September 2. Earlier, he had announced the introduction of six new services in the “Diia” application, including AI Assistant, e-Excise, and e-Notariat.
