The Security Service of Ukraine, with the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has revealed an infiltration of an agent into the drone units.
As a result of comprehensive measures, a conscripted serviceman was detained while serving in a strike UAV company on the eastern front, spying for the enemy.
The investigation established that the agent had been leaking information to the Russians about the preparation of UAV operations, including timing, flight directions, and potential targets.
He also transmitted information about the locations and combat positions of his brigade.
According to the data, the enemy utilized this intelligence for preemptive strikes against Ukrainian drones.
During enemy attacks, the agent received warnings from the FSB to avoid potential hits.
SBU officers detained him while he was preparing to pass on a new batch of intelligence.
The Security Service has also taken measures to secure the locations of the Defense Forces.
Investigators determined that the Russian mole was a 26-year-old resident of Kropyvnytskyi, who sought connections with Russian intelligence agents via Telegram after mobilization. He was later recruited by the FSB and offered monetary compensation for his cooperation.
The SBU has notified him of suspicion under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed in a state of war).
The perpetrator is in custody without the right to bail, facing life imprisonment with property confiscation.
The operation was conducted by SBU officers in the Kirovohrad region under the procedural leadership of the Kropyvnytskyi Specialized Prosecutor's Office.
