The acting head of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, Serhiy Khodakivskyi, announced the suspicion against a 49-year-old man in the case of raping a 15-year-old girl (Part 3 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During the investigation, it was revealed that the man met the girl, invited her to his home, and offered her alcohol. Initially, he showed no interest, pretending to be her friend, but later committed the crime.

The perpetrator was detained and faces up to 12 years in prison.

During the court hearing, Serhiy Khodakivskyi requested that the suspect be taken into custody without the option of bail, a request that the court granted.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted under the procedural guidance of the Desnyansky District Prosecutor's Office and by detectives of the Desnyansky Police Department.

According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
