Football Match Supporting Our Defenders

A unique football match took place in Ukraine, organized with the support of various associations, including the Ukrainian Football Association and the Veterans Association. The first kick of the ball was made by servicemen from the Special Operations Forces, including those with amputations.

The players showcased outstanding teamwork, which captivated the audience. UAF President Andriy Shevchenko and volunteer Serhiy Prytula received awards for their contributions to the development of football in Ukraine.

The football match brought together people from different professions, featuring renowned players among the veterans, inspiring young footballers. The veterans' team emerged victorious with a score of 4:2.

Andriy Shevchenko emphasized the importance of supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating that football unites people. The military also demonstrated their skills, showing they can not only fight but also play football.

After the match, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Veterans Association of the Special Operations Forces and the Ukrainian Football Association, opening new opportunities for veterans in sports and rehabilitation.
