A 3-year-old girl who went missing in a forest has been found by rescuers in the Zhytomyr region.

According to the State Emergency Service, yesterday at 4 PM, rescuers received a report about a missing child in the village of Mala Chernyavka in the Berdychiv district.

«The child was with her grandmother but disappeared from her sight at some point», — the rescuers explained.

The frightened grandmother called the village elder, who then notified all relevant services.

The police directed all available resources to the search based on the provided coordinates.

«More than 100 people — rescuers, police, dog handlers, and local residents — searched for the missing girl in the village of Mala Chernyavka», — said the emergency services.

After two hours of searching, the girl was found in the forest: she got scared of being lost and fell asleep.

Psychologists worked with the little girl to help her calm down.

«Medical personnel examined her — everything is fine, hospitalization was not necessary», — the State Emergency Service noted.
