Investigators from Kyiv police, in collaboration with SBU officers, have documented a criminal scheme linked to exam preparations at one of the capital's medical universities.
It has been established that a 26-year-old foreigner residing in Kyiv was charging students money to assist them in passing the KROK exam without proper preparation.
Students, including international ones, were paying him $9,000 for a guaranteed pass. After the exam, they submitted blank answer sheets, which were later filled in with correct answers by an unknown person, ensuring a positive outcome.
Currently, one instance of corruption has been documented.
The man has been charged under part 5 of article 27 and part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries a penalty of up to ten years in prison and confiscation of property.
Law enforcement continues to investigate to identify other participants in the scheme possibly involved in falsifying exam sheets.
