The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended a young informant who was relaying crucial information about military targets in Kyiv.

According to the investigation, a 17-year-old school graduate was recruited through social media channels promising "easy money".

The agent's main task was to identify the coordinates of strategic targets received from his handler.

Areas of interest included critical infrastructure like energy facilities and military headquarters.

Agents of the Security Service apprehended the informant while he was preparing an intelligence report.

His phone, containing photos of the designated targets, was confiscated on site.

Investigators notified him of charges under Article 111, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The informant is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment.

The operation was conducted by the Security Service in conjunction with the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
