The initiative was led by students and faculty from the Kyiv College of Technology and Design with the backing of local council member Bohdan Chorniy.

Bohdan Chorniy stated: «Together with the youth, we have organized the green space, planting trees and shrubs to honor those who defend our country daily. We must respectfully commemorate the Heroes who allow us to learn, work, and live in a free city. I sincerely thank the administration, faculty, and students for their invitation and active civic engagement. Together, we are building a strong and conscious nation».
