President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a memorandum on cooperation with the USA regarding mineral extraction could be signed online today.

Details: The head of state noted that the American side recently proposed to revisit the memorandum while lawyers are working on the final agreement.

"We have positive and constructive intentions, as we demonstrate. Therefore, the memorandum of intent may be signed online today," Zelensky emphasized.

He added that Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko is currently working with the American side on the text of the memorandum.

"The memorandum is an important first step, so why not agree on it between both countries?" the president added.

Recently, Svyrydenko announced the signing of a memorandum with the USA, which will precede the agreement on mineral extraction.

She also stated that significant progress has been made towards concluding an agreement on minerals.
