The fintech service Revolut has temporarily ceased registering new users from Ukraine.
This was reported by DOU.
"Revolut Bank UAB has temporarily halted the registration of new clients who are residents of Ukraine. This does not affect our existing Ukrainian users—their accounts and services will continue to operate as usual. Ukrainians can join a waiting list while we work on resuming the registration process. Ukraine remains an important market for us, and we are committed to supporting our clients and community," the company stated.
The likely reason for the suspension of registrations is the absence of a banking license from the NBU for Revolut. The company did not comment on this matter.
Revolut also emphasized its support for Ukrainians: as part of the Clear Sky charitable campaign organized with UNHCR, over £500,000 has been raised. The company will additionally donate another £200,000 to aid those affected by the war.
