On April 4, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision to enhance the powers of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in the fields of innovative technologies, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

This was reported by government representative Taras Melnychuk during a session of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the new amendments, the Ministry of Digital Transformation will:

support the development of the robotics sector, semiconductor technologies, and domestic production of unmanned systems;

define key development directions and implement legislative initiatives;

coordinate financial support for companies engaged in new technology development;

organize testing and research of innovative products;

create infrastructure for testing new technologies;

support the advancement of artificial intelligence within the country.

It is worth noting that the Cabinet of Ministers previously transferred the regulation of gambling functions from the Gambling Business Commission (KRAIL) to the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
