An event titled «Unlocking Digital Potential: Opportunities for Ukraine» took place, showcasing the results of the EU's «Digital Europe» program. This initiative supports the development of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and cloud services, assisting Ukrainian companies in integrating into the EU's digital market.
Since 2022, Ukrainian institutions have been actively securing funding through the «Digital Europe» program. As of now:
- 19 grant agreements have been signed;
- 75 organizations have joined the program;
- Ukrainian institutions, organizations, and educational establishments have attracted €7.2 million for joint digital projects with European partners
Among the organizations that secured funding are the State Enterprise Diia, the «Lviv IT Cluster» Association, Polissia National University, the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», and others.
One of the key tools for supporting digital projects is the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), established in Ukraine through the program. These hubs assist businesses in testing technologies, adapting digital solutions, and attracting investments. During the event, Eastern Ukraine EDIH, Win-Win EDIH, CentralUkrainianEDIH, and others shared their experiences in implementing innovations across various sectors.
Ukrainian companies can benefit from the support of the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development, which serves as the national contact point for the «Digital Europe» program. The Diia.Business portal offers:
- Free consultations on grant opportunities;
- A series of webinars on digital innovations, EDIHs, and funding;
- Grant competitions within the EU's «Digital Europe» program.
Participation in the program until 2027 provides opportunities for funding in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital skills, and technology use in the economy. €6 billion has been allocated for these purposes. Digitalization is not only a driver of economic growth but also an essential tool in combating corruption.
