The Ukrainian government is set to initiate testing of the cutting-edge 5G communication technology in Lviv, Kharkiv, and Borodyanka.
This announcement was made by Mykhailo Fedorov, the Vice Prime Minister for digital transformation.
“Due to shelling, Kharkiv and Borodyanka have suffered extensive damage. It is crucial to test this technology under challenging conditions. Ukraine is capable of implementing innovations even amid potential supply disruptions and limited resources,” Fedorov stated.
One of the goals of the testing is to evaluate the potential of 5G in the rebuilding of cities.
The testing is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2025.
