New Investigation by the Department of Government Efficiency

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by billionaire Elon Musk, who is also the main donor to President Donald Trump's campaign, has announced new initiatives.

Recently, DOGE, in collaboration with the U.S. Immigration Service, arrested two Ukrainian citizens suspected of violating electoral laws during the presidential elections in November 2024.

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed that the arrests took place on Tuesday due to joint efforts by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICEgov) and DOGE.

“ICEgov officials arrested two Ukrainians for illegal voting in the 2024 elections in partnership with DOGE,” Nielsen stated, without disclosing details of the arrests.

She added, “Under President Donald Trump, if you come to our country and break our laws, you will face consequences.”

Though DOGE was initially created as an advisory body to reduce government spending, its extensive powers, including access to confidential data, have raised concerns among experts.

Musk, the head of DOGE, is known for his anti-Ukrainian stance, yet it remains unclear why an agency focused on cost-cutting is involved in the arrests of those accused of illegal voting.
