Easter Support for Ukraine's Defenders

On the eve of Easter, the Kyivstar team launched a social initiative called "Easter Cakes for Our Military". Through charitable donations from employees, over 177,000 UAH was raised to produce and deliver 708 Easter cakes to the soldiers of one National Guard unit in Ukraine.

This initiative has a dual social purpose: to support Ukrainian soldiers while also aiding an inclusive business, as the cakes were baked by Good Bread, a bakery that provides jobs for people with mental disabilities.

"It is important for us to support initiatives that bring together several core values: humanity, solidarity, and care. Collaborating with Good Bread is not just about cakes. It's about being able to thank our defenders while supporting an inclusive business that provides work and self-belief for those with mental challenges," commented Oleksandr Komarov, CEO of Kyivstar.

More than 400 employees from Kyivstar, Kyivstar Tech, and Ukraine Tower Company (UTC) participated in this initiative, with the Uklon team also joining the project.

The delivery of the cakes to the military took place just before Easter, serving as a reminder of gratitude for their defense of Ukraine and providing a piece of Easter warmth.

Corporate volunteering is a key part of Kyivstar's social responsibility strategy, which involves regular participation from the company and its employees in important projects for society and the state, particularly in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, helping children, supporting hospitals, and assisting those affected by the war.
