Ukrainian Women's Wrestling Team Triumphs at the 2025 European Championship

The Ukrainian women's team has emerged victorious in the team ranking of the 2025 European Championship in wrestling, taking place in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

The "blue and yellow" team accumulated 180 points, with Turkey finishing second with 158 points, while Romania secured third place with 79 points.

It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian athletes won a total of 8 medals, including 4 gold.

The champions include Oksana Livach, Anastasia Alpeeva, Irina Bondar, and Alla Belinska.

Bronze medals were awarded to Alina Filipovich, Oleksandra Khomenets, Irina Kolyadenko, and Solomiya Vynnyk.

The European Championship kicked off on Monday, April 7, and over the course of the week, competitors in freestyle, Greco-Roman, and women’s wrestling will compete for 30 medals across ten weight categories.
